Happy July!! Just wishing everyone a happy and safe July 4thand hope that the rest of the month you and your family get to have some fun in the sun. Me, well I’m looking forward to cook outs, swimming, camping and just plain having a great summer. That doesn’t mean I won’t be working hard here at Weitzel Insurance bringing you the best doggone coverage and service. But pawple need to kick back a little now and then.

I hope to get a vacation in this summer, but I know one thing, I’ll make sure my mom has the car checked out before any road trips and you should make sure that you have Erie’s roadside service. You never know when you could have a flat tire or breakdown. That is why we have the best coverage out there, unlike some of those other companies, Erie pays reasonable expenses. They don’t put a dollar limit, and we can call any service company.

So here are a few travel tips. Don’t let your four legged kids ride in the front seat, keep a leash in the car in case we would need to stop and get out for any reason, have some water and a travel bowl, but please never leave us alone in a car in the summer.

One more thing I wanted to talk about today before all those fireworks get underway this weekend. You know not all of your four legged kids like the sound of fireworks. Some get downright scared. My brother Jex is that way. So there are a few things you can do to make this time of year less stressful. Keep us inside during fireworks, don’t take us along to watch these displays. We can hang on the couch just fine. If the noise is a problem, do what my mom does. She turns on the music a little louder so my brother can’t hear the boom, boom, boom. She also asks us into the bedroom and we get up on the bed with her. I like the bed and between mom and I we can help Jex get through the fireworks. She says it just something moms do to keep us safe and healthy.

Ok so have a barking good time and stay safe.
